    Dear All,

As the deadline for submissions to the competitive model leaderboards of the competition is coming soon we would like to clarify what needs to be done for submissions to be fully considered.

The different leaderboards address different challenges and prizes can thus be obtained from any.

Submissions will be evaluated by the scientific committee. The winning solutions will be selected considering both their success in the leaderboard as well as the originality and quality of the accompanying paper.

All accepted submissions must be presented at the virtual workshop at the NeurIPS Competition Track. This is a requirement to be eligible for an award. All authors will be invited to contribute to a joint article in the NeurIPS Datasets and Benchmark Proceedings.

The best ranked submissions will receive a trophy award and a free registration to the NeurIPS conference. If you do not need the free registration you can let us know so it can go to someone who benefits from it as we only have a very limited set.

Your last submissions that can be considered need to be made to one or several of the Weather4cast 2023 leaderboards before the deadline 26 Nov. AoE. Note that the submission time counts as cut off, not the scoring time. (We expect there to be some delay in the last scoring when several people submit their latest predictions.)

For a complete submission please make sure you

    • upload working source code and your learned parameters to github.com or a similar public repository under an open source license
    • submit a short scientific paper (4-8 pages + references) with a sufficiently detailed description of the approach to arxiv.org or a similar public repository.
    • let us know if you would like to ask for a free NeurIPS registration award

Please provide this all by 29 Nov. AoE at   https://forms.gle/wD1VXAiEFD11Gvja7

If you cannot obtain an arxiv.org link in time please provide a copy of your submission plus a confirmation of your submission. If you have any difficulties with the form, please contact us.

We much look forward to seeing you at NeurIPS!

    With best regards,
    The Organizers

    Dear Organizers,

We cannot obtain an arxiv.org link for our submissions in time. I have questions about the form of submission and the confirmation. Should the submission be the pdf of the paper? What content should be in the confirmation and what is the file format?

    Best regards.
